Hop pellets….
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009Just getting ready to come to a boil on the double nut brown ale. I havent had much experience with the pellets. Do I need to use a hop sack? Are they hard to filter out?

I was looking through a homebrew store a saw they had a stout faucet. I don’t and don’t know anything about them. Is it worth the $130? If I found one on ebay or where ever, is there a difference in quality? Now the big question. Do I need to set up a nitro system?
Long time no see everyone! It’s good to be back…
Anyway, I’m looking to motorize my mill as I think my drill has about had it (based upon the burning electronics smell it now emits when used). I’ve been doing some research and very much want to go with spider couplings rather than the pulley, belt, and sheath method (my son is with me in the basement when I am milling sometimes, and I’d rather not have the danger available). This typically means a much more expensive motor (and I can’t find a damn beefy bodine anywhere).
So, What are your suggestions? I’m ok with a lower grind speed if necessary (and within reason).
This one looks pretty good for the price! Direct - Dual Shaft
Thoughts?
