CBR 143: Rick Rolled

A listener from the wilds of Kentucky visited the Craft Beer Radio studios armed with a trunk load of beers from the Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan area. We attempt to break out some special beers from the cellar but that didn’t carry favor with the beer gods. In hopes to change our fortunes we finish up with a couple Three Floyds beers that Rick brought.

Southern New England Homebrew Competition

The Underground Brewers of Connecticut will host the 2009 Southern New England Homebrew Competition on October 25 in Newtown, CT. This is a BJCP-sanctioned event accepting entries in all BJCP categories of beer, cider, and mead.

Online registration is now open at http://www.undergroundbrewers.org/snerhc/index.php.

We really, really need judges. BJCP certification not necessary. Please consider volunteering.

Sanke keg fermentor

Is anyone using a sanke keg to ferment? I have one that I liberated from a recycling scrap yard that is in good shape and saw this

How the heck would you clean it after transferring the beer out? I am thinking it looks like agreat product, but cant wrap my head around how you could get it all cleaned out.
